Statistics state that one-half of children experience some form of abuse at before age 18. Thus, says Scarlet, parents need a guide to being their child’s protector rather than their BFF. Knowledge is power, and the self-described “badass grandma” shares strategies for teaching kids to recognize danger that include role playing, family meetings, and sharing lessons from your own life.
VERDICT A needed topic for the times in which we live, this will be a welcome addition to any library.
