DEBUT A case of science gone wrong causes a world-changing, apocalyptic accident in Swan’s debut. On day zero, a disaster at the Hadron Collider in Switzerland creates a plume of ash and smoke that darkens the surrounding area and soon spreads inexorably. A group of survivors struggle to find help in a landscape that may be forever altered and that contains monsters who attack without warning. On day 89, Trace, a Sheriff in Tennessee, struggles to maintain order in his town as it awaits the arrival of the Cloud, which has completely overtaken Europe and has reached the U.S. East Coast. Trace knows it’s only a matter of time, and while many of his town’s residents are seeking escape in death, he can’t give up. He and a group of others head west with only a rumor of a way to survive as their guiding force.
